I am against the use of the word ‘FRAPE’ (the new word denotes Facebook raping). I do believe it trivialises a very serious crime ‘Rape’. But after going through n number of post’s and pictures which suggest that Brazilian football team was raped by German’s in semi final, I can’t restrain myself from commenting.  How can you equate a game play with such a serious sexual assault? By expressing such an attitude you are insulting millions of sexual abuse victims around the world. You are poking their pain and struggle. You may be a football fan, but by using such term you are turning into a football fanatic. By your act you are indirectly categorising 11 plus members of Brazilian team as sexual assault victims and there by you are bullying them.  Come on, just because they played a game doesn’t give you the right to harass them or bully them. കഴിഞ്ഞ കുറേ ദിവസങ്ങളിലായി വിവിധ മാധ്യമങ്ങളിൽ നിറയുന്ന ഒന്നാണ് Holly Hell എന്ന പുസ്തകവും അതുയർത്തുന്ന വിവാദങ്ങളും. പുസ്തകം വായിക്കത്തതിനാൽ ഇതുവരേയും ഒരു അഭിപ്രായ രൂപികരണത്തിനു ശ്രമിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല. എന്നാൽ  ഈ വിഷയം 'social media യിൽ ഉയർന്നപ്പോൾ മുതൽ ഇവിടേ കണ്ടുവരുന്ന ചില പ്രവണതകളെ കുറിച്ച് കുറിക്കാതെ വയ്യ. 1. a.Spiritual commercialization നും, Spiritual trade and abuse നും എല്ലാം അപ്പുറത്ത് ഈ വിഷയം മുന്നോട്ട് വയ്ക്കുന്നത് Institutionalized sexual abuse എന്ന crime നെയാണ്. താൻ പീഡിപ്പിക്കപ്പേടുകയും, അതേ സ്ഥലത്തുതന്നെ സമാന രീതിയിൽ ഉള്ള പീഡനങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാവുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്ന് ഒരു വ്യക്തി പറയുമ്പോൾ അതിനേ കുറിച്ച് വസ്തു നിഷ്ട്ടമ്മായ അന്വേഷണം ആണ് ആദ്യം ഉണ്ടാവേണ്ടത് . അതിനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങൾ ആയിരുന്നു സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയ യിൽ നടക്കേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന്ത്. എന്നാൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷത്തിൽ ദൃശ്യമായത് ഈ വിഷയത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വ്യതിചലിക്കുന്നതാണ്. I am not a geek not a tech savy.  But as many other lower middle class members of society I am also forced to live as a netizen. Can't deny it has several positive effects. It reduce those  enormous  miles between me and my friends, knowledge is in my finger tips, it does add some coal to my not so burning shopaholic   desire, it allow me to project and satisfy my egoistic and narcissist persona through different social networking websites.  Other than this personal perspective, from a social perspective also cyber space has several positive effects.
